Albemarle Parks and Recreation operates and maintains the Albemarle Neighborhood Theatre, located in the Central School Apartments.

First built in 1900, this historic 247 seat renovated auditorium was formerly the original Central School and is today a vibrant center for arts and entertainment.

The Theater was fully renovated in 2018 as part of the City of Albemarle’s Downtown Revitalization Project and features state-of-the-art sound and visual equipment.

Albemarle Neighborhood Theatre is available for rent for performing arts performances. Seat Sponsorships are also available.
